Bizarre – David Halliday

August 13, 2010

This is so bizarre. David Halliday is my namesake. One time I receive a royalty cheque for several thousand dollars. It was not meant for me. It was my namesake’s. I sent it back.

David Halliday (March 3, 1916 – April 2, 2010) was an American physicist widely known for his physics textbooks, Physics and Fundamentals of Physics, which he wrote with Robert Resnick. Both textbooks have been in continuous use since 1960 and are available in twenty languages.

Late in life I have developed a great interest in physics. My namesake is a physicist.

As you can see he died this year on April 2.

April 2 is my birthday.
