Replace your bones

The Words That Keep Pounding
The snow falls down. Through the steam. There’s life in the sewers. Rats. For alligators. And all those lies we told to ourselves and flushed down the toilet. That grow up to 12 feet long. And the words that keep pounding in my head. Wake up!
I can hear the muttering of ancient and far away comets. Like balls in a driving range. Heading this way. And some can hardly get themselves to the golf course. Worrying. About their kids chances of making medical school. And the words that keep rising in my throat. Get a grip!
Suck out that fat. Replace your bones. Peel back that skin. You’ve got more choices than is healthy. We’re just moths near a flame. Just souls inside an apple core. We’re all just clouds in brightly coloured clothes.
This isn’t a knife. This isn’t advice. Dragged across your throat.
