Experience is the real beauty

January 8, 2013

I just finished watching the Story of Pi. Wonderful film. But it made me wonder about the need to feel good at the end of tragedy. Should the truth of life which is often unfair and cruel be blunted? Not just on a personal level but on a cosmic level. Is the notion of a Supreme Being a way of sugar coating existence? Making it more palatable. Or is that optimism what it means to be a sentient being? To demand a better ending then that which reality hands us? Is that what human beings introduce into the stew?

I don’t know. I do know that the tyger, experience, is the real beauty. Truth is the tyger’s smile.
