Fathers and Sons
July 23, 2013
The first time I read Fathers and Sons I thought I was reading about myself. Myself and my relationship to my father. That was a long time ago. There is a silence between fathers and sons. A lot they don’t say. Perhaps that is in the nature of males. My father was not a hero to me. But he was a model of what it meant to be an individual. He was himself. He didn’t pretend to be anything else.
