49,000 Nanowrimo08

Well, I’ve reached 49,000 words. And according to my outline, I’m almost finished. And I like what I’ve written. Of course that could change. I  usually leave a manuscript in the drawer about 6 months before deciding if it’s finished. I’ve had several advantages in writing this piece. Several of the characters are hang overs from my novel The Hole which starred Sam Kelly, the elder cop. And I made out a detailed outline. And I had a second outline for a second novel which would preceed this novel, based on many of the same characters.
